We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Drilling Engineer. The Drilling Engineer will responsible for planning, designing, and executing safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling operations. This includes well design, risk management, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with geologists, geophysicists, and contractors to ensure project success. The role involves identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring adherence to Company’s regulations and industry standards, and maintaining accurate documentation of plans, designs, and risk assessments.

• Educational Background: A Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with drilling operations, well design, and risk management.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with drilling operations is a must.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and consistency of well designs, drilling plans, and risk assessments.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulations and industry standards governing drilling operations.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, varying technical environments, and diverse audience needs.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams, including geologists, geophysicists, and drilling contractors.
• Experience: Prior experience of 10 years as a Drilling Engineer in the oil and gas industry or related technical fields is required. Experience in planning, designing, and executing drilling operations is desired.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in using software tools and platforms used in drilling operations, such as drilling engineering software, well design software, and risk assessment tools, is a must.
• Certifications: Optional certifications in drilling engineering, such as those offered by professional organizations, can be advantageous.
• Training and Mentorship: Providing training and mentorship to young Nationals and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This is a project contract with a duration of 18 – 24 months.
