The opportunity is suited to a laboratory specialist with strong hands-on experience in chemical enhanced oil recovery (EOR), particularly in laboratory testing, chemical evaluation and the interaction between reservoir fluids, rock and EOR chemicals.
Key areas of expertise include:
- Chemical EOR techniques, including polymer, surfactant and alkaline-surfactant-polymer (ASP) systems.
- Phase behaviour studies, microemulsion characterisation and interfacial tension measurements.
- Core-flooding experiments, viscosity and rheology testing, and chemical compatibility assessments.
- Laboratory testing under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions.
- Evaluation of polymer properties, chemical stability and performance.
- Supporting EOR laboratory programmes, reservoir studies, simulation and field pilots.
- Technical evaluation of chemical products and collaboration with research and engineering teams.
