Laboratory Technician (P559)

PanTerra Geoconsultants B.V. is an international service company for the geothermal and oil and gas industry, based in Leiderdorp. With our team of laboratory analysts, geologists and reservoir engineers, we offer a wide range of services, from performing tests on rock and fluid samples in the laboratory to writing plans for geothermal deployment and development of oil and gas fields.
We currently have vacancies for Laboratory Technicians in our Core Analysis laboratory. This laboratory performs various analyses on rock samples and fluids. You will work with about 15 colleagues with different backgrounds and nationalities. We are an international company, daily communication internally and with customers is in English.

As a Laboratory Technician you are responsible for preparing rock samples for the analyses in the lab. This preparation consists of several parts:

• Cleaning and sawing rock cores.
• Take pictures and core gamma logs of the cleaned cores.
• Taking samples for further analysis, for example by drilling cylindrical plugs.
• Preparing these samples for analyses, including cleaning and drying them.
• You will possibly assist in performing laboratory analyses (porosity, permeability).

In the beginning you will work under the supervision of a senior colleague and you will be trained in your tasks until you can perform them independently.

• MBO educational level or higher;
• Interested in performing hands-on, technical work;
• Capable to work accurately;
• Good command of the English language (written and spoken);
• Good computer skills in Word and Excel.
