Permitting and GIS Specialist (P576)

The GIS and Permitting Specialist will play an active role in planning and coordination of the Upstream Directorate 2D, 3D and 4D seismic acquisition activities. This includes participation in organizing the tender, specification of geodetic parameters, equipment and methods of acquisition processing, supervision of the seismic contractor and quality control of all intermediate and final geodetic products.

The GIS and Permitting Specialist will be also Supervising and assisting the geophysical contractor’s permitting efforts by acting as Company focal point for all permit and access related issues. Liaising with other corporate functions to secure LOA, NOC and other necessary documents/invitations/guarantees requested by private landowners, government entities (including those of national security), 3rd party operators and other Company group companies.

This position involves being seconded to our esteemed client’s offices in the UAE, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Geodesy (or other physical science with heavy focus on the science of spatial positioning).
• Expertise with topographic surveying methods, equipment and software applications.
• Excellent presentation skills and competence to write and proofread technical reports.
• Experience with coaching and training of staff.
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
• BOSIET and H2S certification.
