Sedimentologist/Petrographer (P586)

We are looking for a skilled Sedimentologist/Petrographer to join our Reservoir Geology team. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience working on a variety of siliciclastic and carbonate reservoir studies. You’ll be part of a diverse, collaborative team that combines the expertise of both seasoned specialists and recent graduates, fostering a dynamic and supportive working environment.

• Undertake sedimentological and/or structural core studies;
• Undertake petrographic analysis including thin section analysis, XRD and Scanning Electron Microscopy;
• Report the results in a concise manner in accordance with PanTerra’s quality standard;
• Participate and present the results in technical meetings with clients and 3rd parties;
• Project management;
• Give training to more junior colleagues;
• QC reports of other staff members.

We are looking for candidates with the following background:

• MSc or PhD in geology;
• At least 5 years hands on experience in sedimentology and petrography;
• Strong proficiency in technical writing/reporting;
• Good communication skills, comfortable communicating with and presenting results to colleagues and clients;
• Affinity with project management.

Immediate

We offer a one year contract with the intention to extend to a permanent contract afterwards.
