Profile Senior Reservoir Engineer (Consultant)

PanTerra Geoconsultants is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer for a six-month consulting assignment. The consultant will lead reservoir engineering studies and deliver Field Development Plans (FDPs) for multiple fields.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct Field Development Planning (FDP) to optimize the hydrocarbon recovery and maximize production in compliance with overall company strategy and HSE standards.
  2. Delivering FDP for small heavy oil reservoirs economically and maturing the FDP from documentation to implementation.
  3. Working with multidiscipline in integration to develop FDP and to improve technical skills.
  4. Deliver optimization and reservoir management strategy to enhance oil production and maximize the stakeholders’ values.
  5. Provide all petroleum engineering input to new well proposals and provide well completion designs for new wells.
  6. Analyze well and field production performance and identify production enhancement opportunities.
  7. Guide and assist the maturation of reserves from non-commercial reserves to commercial reserves and expected reserves status.
  8. Evaluate trial opportunities that can help in improving the field performance economically.
  9. Provide technical support and advice in PVT, PTA, SCAL, Modeling, Studies, and reservoir performance to reservoir engineering.
  10. Conduct field performance reviews to maximize asset value.
  11. Coach, mentor, and develop reservoir engineers, including junior and early-career staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of professional experience in Reservoir Engineering
  • At least 6 years as part of integrated FDP study teams
  • Strong experience in reservoir simulation and modeling (ECLIPSE and Petrel RE preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated analytical and conceptual problem‑solving skills
  • Strong numerical skills and proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • Demonstrated experience with Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in Oman
  • Candidate must already be based in the region
  • Reference letter from a previous operator or client

Mobilization within one month. Candidate must already be based in the region.
