PanTerra’s laboratory is seeking a self-motivated and proactive Special Core (SCAL) Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a collaborative spirit, sharing knowledge and expertise within our diverse team of approximately 20 technical staff members. The SCAL Analyst will be responsible for conducting special core analysis tests according to industry standard, including the setup, maintenance, and calibration of all equipment, as well as the calculation, interpretation, and quality control of laboratory data.

• Independently perform various petrophysical analyses (SCAL),
• Ensure the quality control of your work.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring all consumables are available.
• Interpret data, prepare reports, and maintain client communication.
• Adhere to PanTerra’s working practices and ensure all work is performed safely and in an organized manner.
• Stay updated with the latest industry practices.

• A minimum of 8 years hands on experience in special core analysis/rock property measurements, including:
  • Porosity/permeability measurements
  • Archie parameters
  • Capillary pressure tests
  • Two-phase flow experiments
  • NMR spectroscopy
  • Wettability studies
• Degree in Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of SCAL laboratory systems and equipment.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to take on tasks outside of regular duties.
• Strong team player.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong planning and deadline management abilities.
• Adaptability to changing priorities.
• Willingness to develop skills and progress in the role.
